Bill is one of ERA’s senior practitioners in areas related to visitor attractions, entertainment and tourism development. In some 29 years with ERA, he has managed or participated in assignments for a wide variety of private, public and not for profit clients. For individual visitor attractions, Bill’s work addresses concept development, market analysis, financial feasibility analysis and economic impact analysis.
Representative commercial attraction clients include CKx/Elvis Presley Enterprises, Dubai International Capital, Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company (HersheyPark), Premier Parks/Six Flags, and LEGO. Corporate visitor center/attraction clients include GM, Boeing, Miller Brewing Company and JustBorn Candy Company. On the public and non-profit side, clients include Mystic Seaport, the National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps, American Museum of Natural History, Kennedy Space Center, Florida State Fair, Expo New Mexico, Lake Lanier Islands Development Authority, Gettysburg NMP, Valley Forge NHP, Alabama Historical Commission, and several state and national heritage areas.
Bill has managed strategic planning assignments related to tourism development and revenue generation for clients including TVA/Land Between the Lakes, Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, Maryland Office of Tourism Development, National Park Service, West Virginia State Parks, Tennessee State Parks, the Alabama Historical Commission, Nashville-Davidson County Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Allegheny County (PA) Department of Parks and Recreation.
Bill is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
