Kate Coburn, Principal


Kate, Managing Principal in ERA’s New York office, has been a key player in the real estate industry for over twenty years. She has a background in strategic planning, leasing and marketing of mixed-use urban complexes, downtown revitalization strategies, and retail programming.

Among the projects on which Kate has worked are: retail market analysis and planning for Princeton University; retail demand analysis and tenant attraction strategy for Lower Manhattan; market demand analysis of office, retail, hotel and residential uses as well as visitor projections for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in connection with the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site redevelopment; retail market analysis and development strategy for Times Square; market study and development advisory strategy for conversion of the 1 million square foot Farley Post Office building into a transit-oriented mixed-use; market study and development advisory services for the privatization of the New York State-owned Harriman Office Campus in Albany, NY; 2020 Vision Plan and Retail Market Study for the Town of Huntington, on the north shore of Long Island; master planning for the conversion of the Powerhouse Building in Jersey City, NJ.

Kate, who graduated from the University of Wisconsin, is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York Stores Committee, Women Executives in Real Estate and the Urban Land Institute.
