Bob specializes in leisure-oriented land development economics. His work has been primarily in the areas of resorts, recreation real estate, commercial recreation attractions and mixed-use developments. He currently acts as co-leader of ERA’s Recreation Real Estate Practice Group. He also has experience in a broad array of land uses with a focus on destination resorts including golf, retail, office, marinas, specialty attractions and casinos. Mr. Chickering is also called upon for complex financial modeling involving multiple land uses and / or profit centers or with projects involving complex financing scenarios.
Since joining the firm in 1984, he has participated in a wide variety of study types including market feasibility, concept development, financial modeling, economic impact and master plan economics. He has worked on projects throughout North America, Latin America, the Pacific and Asia.
Bob holds a B.A. degree in Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations and Economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
