ERA and Amusement Business Release the Annual Worldwide Attractions Industry Report for 2005 ERA and Amusement Business (AB) have joined forces for the second year to evaluate the annual attendance at the world’s premiere attractions. The AB/ERA team researched the leading amusement/theme parks, waterparks, and fairs internationally, identified the top performers and determined the key factors for success.
John Robinett, Senior Vice President of ERA commented, “Overall, 2005 was a good year for U.S. attractions with improving economies, continued bounce-back from 9/11, and muted impacts from high oil prices.” He added, “Attendance at Disney Parks reached record levels due to the combination of pent up demand and a 50 year celebration of Disneyland, and Six Flags, the top regional operator also grew this year despite ownership scuffles.”
The annual attendance lists are compiled for U.S., European, Asian, and Latin American attractions, and are available at ERA’s and Amusement Business websites divided into:
