ERA Names New President
The Board of Directors of Economics Research Associates has named Patrick Phillips President and CEO. Since joining the firm in 1993, Patrick has served as managing principal of ERA's Washington DC office and has coordinated the firm's consulting practice in Urban Real Estate economics.

Austin Anderson, who as President since 1988 has successfully guided ERA to unprecedented domestic growth and international expansion, has been named Vice Chairman of the firm. Austin will continue to lead consulting engagements from ERA's Los Angeles office.

Patrick's consulting practice has focused on economic and feasibility analysis, strategic planning, and transaction-related services for real estate investors and developers, public agencies, financial institutions, universities, and non-profit organizations. He has managed the firm's contribution to numerous high-profile urban development projects, including MCI Center in downtown Washington, the redevelopment of Kansas City's Country Club Plaza, the Atlantic Steel project in Atlanta, and the redevelopment strategy for Cincinnati's central riverfront.

Patrick is a frequent speaker on urban development issues, and is the author or co-author of seven books and numerous articles. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and is adjunct professor of urban economics at Johns Hopkins University. Before joining ERA, he was senior manager with Ernst & Young.
