ERA Announces New Principals
Amitabh Barthakur, AICP
Amitabh joined ERA's Los Angeles office in 1998. He works mainly in
ERA's Economic Planning and Policy group. Areas of particular emphasis
include general plan economics and economic development strategies,
fiscal and economic impacts, technology based development, and corridor
redevelopment strategies. Amitabh is an active member of the American
Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners.
W. Thomas Lavash
Tom has been an urban real estate and land use consultant for 20 years.
He joined ERA's Washington, D.C. office in 1994, and focuses his work
in two of ERA's core practice areas: urban real estate and economic
development planning. He directs engagements dealing with all property
sectors, with an emphasis on mixed-use, downtown and waterfront, and
commercial district redevelopment, and repositioning strategies for
underperforming commercial assets. He is active in the Urban Land
Institute's District Council in Washington, D.C., and has served on
multiple ULI advisory services panels across the United States.
Linda Cheu
Based in San Francisco, Linda specializes in economic analysis for
cultural facilities, housing strategies and policy analysis, and
economic impact analysis. She serves as Chair of the Housing
Subcommittee for the San Francisco Citizen's Committee on Community
Development, an advisory body to the Mayor on CDBG funding. She is also
on the Board of Directors for the Chinese Historical Society of America
and is the President of the California Dragon Boat Association.
