David Wilcox Receives Fellow Membership Designation from IEDC
David Wilcox, FAICP and Senior Vice President in ERA’s Los Angeles office was awarded
a Fellow Membership Designation by the International Economic Development Council at
their annual conference in New York City for his exceptional contributions through
service related to the practice of economic development.
Mr. Wilcox has worked with the IEDC and its predecessor, the Council for
Urban Economic Development (CUED) since 1985. He was a Board Member of CUED for 10 years.
He generated the annual conference topic called “If You Build It, Will They Come?”
and has led the effort to focus more toward best practices in economic development in
the organization. Mr. Wilcox has focused on community revitalization and redevelopment,
and his practice includes city marketing strategies, business improvement district programming,
transit-oriented district planning, and tourism development business plans.
Recent assignments focus on employment development, the impacts of technology on
job locations and value creation, and the evolution of retail patterns.
IEDC provides leadership and excellence in economic development for communities,
members and partners. IEDC’s economic development awards annually recognize excellence
in the economic development profession.

The San Francisco office of Economics Research Associates was acknowledged
by the United States Department of Commerce for U.S. Commercial Service – Export
Achievement, for exporting services and creating local jobs. The award
was presented by Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce, Colleen Litkenhaus.
